FKHF Partners Launches Georgia Office

Led by Georgia Native Jonathan Hightower

[April 23, 2019] Fenimore, Kay, Harrison & Ford, LLP, one of the nation’s premier community bank corporate and regulatory law firms, today announced the launch of its Georgia office, led by Jonathan Hightower. The new office represents the firm’s expansion into the Southeast and complements the firm’s existing offices in Austin, Dallas and Kansas City.

Hightower maintains a practice focused on serving the corporate and regulatory needs of community banks.  In addition to being one of the most prolific bank transactional attorneys in the Southeast, Hightower also assists clients with capital raising, regulatory, and strategic expansion matters.  Hightower’s experience is expected to further bolster the firm’s existing corporate and regulatory practice, which was ranked as the top bank transactional practice in the United States in 2018, measured by the number of whole bank and branch acquisition transactions as reported by S&P Global Market Intelligence.  Joining Hightower in the firm’s Georgia office is Crystal Huffman, an experienced banking attorney with a focus on corporate and regulatory matters affecting community banks in the Southeast.

Chet Fenimore, managing partner of Fenimore, Kay, Harrison & Ford, LLP, commented, “We are extremely excited to expand the firm’s reach to the Southeast.  We have built this firm to serve the corporate and regulatory needs of community banks, and adding Jonathan and Crystal is the perfect way to bring our service model to a very attractive market, as well as further augment our depth of experience in representing community banks.”

Jonathan Hightower said, “I have long said in boardrooms, at conferences, and on podcasts that community bankers can thrive by honoring their clients and colleagues, managing their overhead, and delivering superior service at a fair price.  I am thankful to have an opportunity to deliver that same value proposition to the banks in the Southeast and particularly my home state of Georgia.  The opportunity to continue to work with Crystal and with partners I have known for a long time makes the opportunity all the more exciting.”

The firm’s new office will be based in Newnan, Georgia and will leverage technology to deliver service to banks and trust companies throughout the Southeast and beyond.
